Firstly, let me explain where Mougins is situated. This very small but very cosy town is located in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France, 15-minute drive from Cannes.
In modern times, Mougins has been frequented and inhabited by many artists and celebrities, including Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Winston Churchill, Catherine Deneuve, and Édith Piaf. Pablo Picasso spent the last 12 years of his life living in Mougins (1961–1973), where he died.
I was there to visit the town and also taste great food in one of the restaurants after which I had a walk through narrow streets of Mougins. Restaurant was worth driving from Nice (30mins) and so I would recommend you to visit 'L'amandier' in Mougins.
