Last year I had a post about LBD which stands for Little Black Dress. Just to summarise it - a little black dress is an evening dress, and is considered as a "rule of fashion". Fashion historians discribe the origins of the little black dress to the 1920s designs of Coco Chanel.
Now, 86 years later, the house of Chanel has focused its laser gaze on the LBJ (hint—not the 36th American president), launching 'The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s Classic Revisited,' book by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld. It is also known that book is coming in a big format so I am already clearing my coffee table for more space.
P.S If you are interested in exhibitions Chanel's Little Black Jacket exhibition is coming to Saatchi Gallery in London on October 12. The photographs from the book shot by Lagerfeld himself will be shown there.
