The Book That Just Can't Wait

"You have two months to read the book, otherwise all the words out of it will disappear!" - this sounds something like from Harry Potter but this is how you can briefly describe the invention of Argentine publishers Eterna Cadencia.

All text is typed with special ink, disappearing in the interaction with sunlight and air. But even if the light does not get to the pages of these works, all the words will disappear after two months anyway.

These kind of books played another important role: most of the books published 'this way' are written by novice authors, who have no regular readers. Unusual edition will hopefully draw their attention to works of less known writers and make readers look forward to new creations of debutants.

Is not it an amazing motivation for readers who are often unable to read books from cover to cover in one go?

P.S Watch the video to see how they do it.

Cameo Reborn. What Goes Around, Comes Around.

Looking into your grandmother’s trinket box has never been more prestigious than now. And when you do so, keep a observant eye out for cameo jewellery...

In a Victorian era, cameo carvings were used as intaglio to sign papers and stamp letters. But, for apparent reasons, queens and princesses of a time had to get their conform impulse from their surrounding unfeeling objects. This later gave a rise to cameo jewellery, popularised by Queen Elizabeth

Cameos also cocktail adult frequently via story and renouned enlightenment references, from Ancient Rome to one of 18th century’s many good famous paintings, 'A Bar at the Folies-Bergère' in that artist Edouard Manet done a anxiety to a cameo locket.

Lanvin’s pre-fall uncover teamed corpulent cameo pieces with unusual silhouettes that delved into a unconventional side as good as a romanticism of a collection.

Lanvin’s pre-fall

Another glance of cameo trinket is seen in Miu Miu’s latest open 2012 campaign. However, unlike in Victorian times, now there’s no forceful tailoring or constricting strictness.

One more person who gave a rise to cameo in 2012 was Miroslava Duma who as always managed to wear it in a super-professional way.
Once again, what goes around comes around...

Not far from the Australian River Fitzroy was built a Cloud House. "Cloud House" was built according to the project of  McBride Charles Ryan architects in 2012 as a complement to the existing building. Thus, the designers had to tie a bright interior with an addition of muted tones in the main part.

Let Them Eat Cake

Marie Antoinette did not advise her servants to eat cake instead of bread.

The famous story associated with the French queen, wanders from school textbooks to the intellectual journals, and vice versa. According to this story, when Marie Antoinette was told that her servatns were starving, she replied: "If they do not have bread, let them eat cake."

True version of this conversaton is hidden somewhere in the bins of history. According to some information, this phrase was invented by the French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau in 1766, when the queen was only 11 years old. The other story says that the sacramental phrase was uttered by another French queen, Maria Theresa, the first wife of Louis XIV.

In any way Marie was not the one who used this phrase.

The first US president was not G. Washington

The first US president is not George Washington. Of course, Washington was elected president under the Constitution of the United States in 1787. However, such a position existed long before this: the president of the U.S. Congress before legislation was administered in accordance with the articles of confederation. And for eight years before George Washington 10 political figures were appointed to that position, the first of which was Samuel Huntington.

God Bless YSL, oops I meant SLP

Hedi Slimane, newly installed creative director of the Yves Saint Laurent fashion empire, is changing the iconic brand name and signature logo created in 1961 at the inception of the house to Saint Laurent Paris

“For Slimane to make the decision to change YSL to SLP before his first collection for the label has been shown is a strong statement about regime change. Clearly, Slimane intends to do things his way," commented the Guardian.

Tbh, this is not what I expected from Slimane, but let's hope that at least his new collection will be a good one.

The question is, what is going to happen to famous YSL clothes, and cosmetics with signature logo?

Anna Dello Russo Keeps Dancing

Usually I share the latest videos, pictures and information but this time I am sharing 'a bit' old video of Anna Dello Russo - the editor-at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan with Santa-Claus. Obviously, X-Mas is far away but I believe video is still worth watchig. Anna  is dancing in Fausto Puglisi dress and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes to make Christmas video-card super fashionable.

P.S Big hair, big sunglasses, small dress... this woman understands fashion.

Louis Vuitton has enlisted artist Vincent Bousserez, known best for photographing miniatures in his quirky ‘Larger Than Life’ series, for their latest campaign. In this imaginary playground of Louis Vuitton wares golfers enjoy an evening game over a monogrammed bag, and construction workers carve out embedded logos. Very creative!
