Who is in the Kitchen Today? Zebra Cake Recipe

Today I don't feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don't feel like picking up my phone,
So leave a message at the tone
Cus today I swear
I'm not doing anything

Nothing at all
Nothing at all
Nothing at all

...This was my mood when I woke up today. I have decided to do absolutely nothing... except baking! Today I am in the kitchen and I am sharing my favourite, easy and quite popular recipe of Zebra Cake with you.. Yummy!

Warning: Look Away If You Are Dieting!

Eggs (for dough) - 3 pieces
Sugar - 1 cup
Margarine (or butter for the dough) - 100 g
Sour cream (for testing) - 400 g
Flour - 1.5 cups
Soda- 1/2 tsp.
Cocoa powder 1 tbsp.

Let's get started!

Mix eggs with sugar. Mix baking soda with sour cream and wait until cream rises. It is better to take the sour cream or stagnant in the refrigerator. Add melt butter(warm) or margarine to the eggs and mix. Then add sour cream.Gradually add the sifted flour. Mix all together. Divide dough into two pieces and add to one of the two one tablespoon of cocoa. Stir. Fun begins now! Brush shape for baking with butter. Put a layer of white dough and then dark layer of  dough and then white again alternating, black and white dough..for the result of a really striped like zebra cake.

Put it in the preheated oven and bake for 40-60 minutes at 180-200 degrees. But you better take a look at your overn a few times becuase your cake may be reaady a bit earlier(depends on your oven and thickness of the shape for baking.

Now time to wait! The most difficult part. Especially, when nice smells from your kitchen come and find you even in your room. Mmmm.
